Been Busy, I'm moving

On top of wedding plans, Jeff and I are moving into my childhood home at the end of this month. So i've been really really busy. We already have 50 some boxes and we haven't gotten to the clothes and kitchen yet. The three fur balls can't quite figure out what the hell is going on but I know thay will be very very happy

Since it's been a while since I've blogged

I can't even remember the host name where it's hosted. OOOPSS. I'm debating whether I should update to MT 4 or move over to EE. Anyone got any input? And while I'm at it, I need someone who can help me clean up the old files on the server (assuming I can get back in!) I miss the days of Blog Moxie but since they are too expensive now, Anyone have any other ideas? I'd love to get a Wedding Skin done.

The Proposal

It's the night before Jeff and I are leaving on our 2 week vacation to New England. It is also the night of the one year anniversary of us going on our first date. I was tired because work was stressful while I was trying to get everything ready for me to be gone. We hadn't packed the car yet and I was getting nervous about going on the vacation because I hate leaving our three cats. Jeff picks me up at the metro station after work and I quickly notice that we are not headding home as planned. Irritated and grumpy I ask him where we are going but he won't tell me where. So I mostly sit in silence until we get to the restaraunt where we had our first date (La Madelene's on Rockville Pike)

assume or maybe Jeff even told me that we were having dinner here because of our anniversary the next day. We ordered our food and sat down at a table out of the way from everyone else. I was disapointed that we couldn't go into the side room where we had sat by ourselves when we had met there, because it was reserved. Jeff left me alone while he went to the car for some asprin. When he came back, he wanted to switch tables and he led me to the reserved room. Of course I tried to protest, saying it was reserved.

When we went around a small corner I saw a dozen red roses with purple flowers on the table as well as a card. I sat down- still clueless as to what was coming. I read the card and then a piece of paper on which he had declared his love for me. I look up and he's down on one knee and he prososed. I cried a little and answered him yes and we kissed.

Obviously, I said yes. So then we have to pick up Jeff's car from the garage because the battery died a few days before we were to leave on our camping vacation. On the way we debated wether we wanted to pick out an engagement ring before we left for vacation. We decided we could always pack the car for our camping vacation the next morning, this evening we were going to get (or at least order) a ring.

]]> It wasn't very difficult to decide on a ring actually. When one has been dreaming about getting married from the day you met your potential spouse, one has had a lot of time thinking about what kind of ring one would want. So I knew I wanted white gold or silver as I don't wear gold. Jeff persuaded me into getting a platnum band. The diamond we chose is called a Leo Diamond and is a 3/4 carat. So relatively quickly we had a ring/

Despite some of my traits, at heart I'm still a girl. And as everyone knows, girls want their rings damn it! So we decided to have the ring shipped to a store in Maine, where we would be so I could have the ring before I came home. We first went to Vermont and where in the mountains and could not get cell phone reception. So we didn't find out that the ring was ready to be shipped until Friday.

o we called the jewlers and they told us that DHL could not pick the ring up until Monday. Since we weren't sure where we would be, we waited until Sunday to call the jewlers back to tell them where to ship the ring. The Jewlers shipped the package on the next Monday. However it took it 2 days to get to the part of Maine we were in. Then we were forced to stay an additional day in this part of Maine because for some reason DHL decided to hold up my ring in the sorting facility. We were not amused. By Thursday morning we were tense and nervous but we both sighed a huge breath of relief when we went to the store in Maine and found out that the ring had been delivered.

Wedding Music

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be walking down the Aisle to Ave Marie- Pavoratti and Bolton version. However, I need ideas for the dances and reception. I'm thinking maybe what a wonderful world for the daughter/father dance or for the recession. Anyone got any ideas?

Believe it or Not

I'm alive. And getting married. And going insane. I think I may blog again during the stressful wedding preparations.

California

California with Jeff was totally amazing. We saw a wild Bobcat- on the borders of a national park. We saw 2 coyotes, 1 where we saw the elephant seals and the other we saw in Death Valley. We did so much stuff that I can barely remember it all.

First Full day We saw the Mystery house in San Jose California. Its this enormous house where this woman kept adding random rooms and doors and windows. It's totally crazy but a lot of fun. The garden was very beautiful as well. That took a few hours. Then we drove about an hour north to San Francisco and saw the sea lions on pier 39, we ate and then we went off to our hotel. We then went and met Tre (formerly of your little secret), her partner and their 2 beautiful children. Lots of photos were taken of course. And that was just day 1.

Ouch

So i had a follow up appointment with my doctor today about this. I was first given a pregnancy test because I'm STILL BLEEDING. Who knew bleeding constantly could be a sign of pregnancy? In any case I was a little disapointed that I wasn't pregnant. But then came the fun (sarcasm) part. I got one of those lovely female exams. Only this time they took skin samples from my cervix for biopseys. I was in tears during it. All the std tests were negative so the hpv result is due to the abnormal cells. In any case Jeff was waiting out in the waiting room for me when I came out pretty much still crying. The doctors had given me 4 advil which eventually worked but damn it hurt. Jeff drove and he was so sympathetic and sweet. The doctor did give me a new prescription for yet another birth control pill and hopefully the bleeding will stop but it isn't anything to worry about, just a serious irritation to me. So now I have to wait 10 days for the test results. Great.

Bleeding

I swear that I've been bleeding for something like 4 months on and off. About 3 weeks ago I went and saw a new gynecologist. Before I was having my family doctor do the pap smears but now that I'm with a guy, i thought time to have a gynecologist again. I wanted him to switch my bc pills because the one I was on was making me bleed every day. He didn't tell me that by switching to a new birth control pill I would have a period for like 3 weeks straight. If I don't stop bleeding soon, I'm going to go insane.

Cancer...........

Today I find out my friends mother died of breast cancer. I also just got a call from my doctors office telling me my papsmear came back abnormal and the HPV test positive. It doesn't mean I have cancer but it does mean I have to go back to the doctors. Why today of all days??

I can't have cancer. I've finally found the person who I want to be the father of my children. I can't have cancer, I just can't. I'm too young and I haven't had my children yet.

I'm Alive I promise

But I don't have much to blog about. It's a mini vacation from blogging I guess. But I'm still madly in love with my Jeffie and I love him more and more everyday. I had a mini (very mini for me) meltdown the other day and he didn't get exasperated or anything. He was really calm and sweet. I LOVE JEFF. And I'm dieing to go to California with him

No internet yesterday!

ACK~ What a day to not have internet at work! WE KICKED REPUBLICAN BUTT!!! WWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I had therapy last night and even my therapist was giddy! I love knowing that my therapist is liberal. Plus yesterday we had the Dumsfeld resignation/kicking out of office! What a beautiful day for democrats.

Biological Clock

I'm convinced that Jeff is trying to make my biological clock explode. He sent me a link to pictures of his coworkers new baby. EVERYONE ON EARTH IS PREGNANT BUT ME!! I know I haven't known him long, but I totally want him to be the father of my children. Have I mentioned he gets baby dreams?? And I thought I was the only one.
