Last night Jeff and I were watching Family guy with his best friend. I was completely exhausted from running around all weekend and was on the verge of collapse when we sat down to watch family guy. Normally, I love the show, but I'm tempted to send a nasty email to fox and the Family Guy producers. THEY MADE FUN OF RAPE VICTIMS, and compared a guy getting a prostate exam to getting raped. Half way through the show, I stood up and said I couldn't watch any more and went into the room where Simba is. I heard the two guys talking and told them not to change the channel for me and prompted to start sobbing all over Simba. A few minutes later Jeff came in and comforted me. His best friend offered to leave and did so a few minutes later. I'm so embarrased about the entire thing and Jeff totally understood and said that Vasili (best friend) totally understood and no one thought anything of it. They said they're embarrased about being men sometimes and could understand why I was upset. This man is amazing!!
and No, I'm not talking about myself. Last night I was watching a disk of Upstairs Downstairs on dvd from Netflix. Has anyone actually ever seen a woman actually faint because she's pregnant?? I swear they make this crap up for tv. Because I've never seen someone who passed out because she was pregnant. You'd think that would be the only reason women ever passed out. Jeez.
I totatlly love it that Taylor won American Idol. When American Idol started this season, Kat and I immediately really liked him but thought, no way is he going to make it to the finals. Little did I know he would win the darned thing. I love Katherine as well, but I'm really excited to see what kind of Album Taylor puts out. Katherine will get to make a record as well undoubtably. And if someone doesn't sign Chris Daughtry, they should be smacked. Because I really thought he was going to win. He has an amazing ass voice.
Any one watch American Idol last night? Why the hell did they let crazy hyper dude through? I have to agree with Simon, they are nuts. I like (well in an odd sort of way) the guy in the Dorothy dress with the blond wig. What are these people doing? Do they just want to be on TV?? I had to feel badly for the one guy Simon picked on- he told him to shave his face and wear a dress. The guy was in tears. I really don't think there was a reason he had to be so rude. And don't get me going on the size of the stage bit.
Story from here
This show looks so damned funny. I hope it's kept on the air. The problems with Christians is that they can't make fun of themselves.
LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- NBC affiliates in Arkansas and Indiana are turning the page on upcoming series "The Book of Daniel," which has been drawing criticism for its portrayal of Christianity.
The series depicts an Episcopalian minister, played by Aidan Quinn, struggling with an addiction to Vicodin, among other problems in his diocese. Jesus is actually a character on the series, depicted in imagined conversations with the minister.
Last month, the conservative American Family Assn. began calling on affiliates and advertisers to bail out of "Daniel." Many stations have been flooded with e-mails and calls from viewers objecting to the series.
KARK-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas, and WTWO-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana, announced Wednesday they would pre-empt "Daniel," when it premieres Friday at 9 p.m. Both are owned by Nexstar Broadcasting Group.
KARK-TV declined to air "Daniel" citing "careful consideration" of viewer feedback. Little Rock's WB affiliate, KWBF-TV, will air "Daniel" instead.

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Wilmer Valderrama, who plays Fez on "That '70s Show," will star as motorcycle cop Ponch in a big-screen version of "CHiPs."
Warner Bros. Pictures, which recently brought TV staples "Starsky & Hutch" and "The Dukes of Hazzard" to theaters with much success, has just acquired the rights for the series.
Erik Estrada famously originated the Ponch role in "CHiPs," which ran on NBC in the late 1970s and followed the adventures of California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers Francis "Ponch" Poncherello and Jon Baker. Larry Wilcox played Baker.

Sigh, Alas my favorite Cocoa, the Norwhich Terrier who was cuter than is legal did not win Best in Show. She was freaking adorable. I was also cheering the Great Pyranese on but neither won. The dog that won was very elegant so I'm not surprised. But my heart belongs to Cocoa.
I too was upset by the episode. As a female who is currently trying to find research to help write a book about a male rape victim, I find jokes about male rape offensive to the 90,000 men who are raped outside of prison.
