Even if you are wearing new shoes for the ceremony, you will need to break them in first- around the house so you dont dirtly them, but you dont want to walk in stiff shoes! you're still drinking your ensures and getting nutrition, right? i think you should remember you can go to the hospital at ANY time, even on vacation, if you have to. that's what they're there for. but i agree with everyone else- you've been worrying and waiting on this for sometime now. you can keep it up till after vacation. maybe it will be a magical vacation and you will be completely, from eating disorder to paper cuts. as far as the leave bank- if you got hit by a car and was hospitalized for months, i don't think anyone would say you should have gotten hit before your vacation. it's not like you want to go to the hospital to cut work. basically, my :twocents: is you need to go when YOU need to, before or after, not when it's most convenient for work.

You have the option (thanks to President Clinton) of taking FMLA. You have a condition that requires excessive treatment. Granted, you wouldn't be paid for time you don't already have, but chances are, your employer would approve it.

What size is your company?

Check into it. I took FMLA for my breast surgery.

Plus, FMLA covers your job. When you are done, you will have a position to go back to at the same pay rate. They can't fire you if you're on FMLA.

You can get 3 months per year of FMLA time off. You can take it all consecutively or do what I did and get it intermittant, so I could still work, but not have to worry if one day I had to stay home because I wasn't doing well...

No no no no.... as a native of Utah, let me educate... Mormon Garments, as the special underwear are called, are given to a person when they take out their Endowments (committments) to God in the LDS Temple. They are to be worn underneath the clothing at all times, except when bathing, as they are blessed, and to remind the wearer of the covenants (promises) they made to God in the temple. They are give to a man and a woman who are preapring to serve a mission, and both when they marry in the temple.

If you look at the garments, there are four symbols placed in different places on the set, each symbolizing the members' beliefs. I can remember one symbol, on the knee, which means that all will kneel before Christ at the second coming. The others are placed over the right breast, the left breast and above the naval.

Mormons believe that not only are these garments sacred, they also hold protective powers that keep the members safe from harm in their daily lives, as they are blessed by the Preisthood of the church.

Celibacy in marriage is the Mormon creed. Not true, Penda. They are not meant to hide the "naughty places" and Mormons do not believe in celibacy unless the person is single. Mormons believe in procreation and encourage children in a marriage. They recommend abstinence and the attempt to avoid all masturbation in replacement of that most sacred act of creating life with your spouse.
