California
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

California with Jeff was totally amazing. We saw a wild Bobcat- on the borders of a national park. We saw 2 coyotes, 1 where we saw the elephant seals and the other we saw in Death Valley. We did so much stuff that I can barely remember it all.

First Full day We saw the Mystery house in San Jose California. Its this enormous house where this woman kept adding random rooms and doors and windows. It's totally crazy but a lot of fun. The garden was very beautiful as well. That took a few hours. Then we drove about an hour north to San Francisco and saw the sea lions on pier 39, we ate and then we went off to our hotel. We then went and met Tre (formerly of your little secret), her partner and their 2 beautiful children. Lots of photos were taken of course. And that was just day 1.

Been Busy
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

I've been so busy at work and at home that I haven't had anytime to blog. Sorry I haven't posted much lately. But Jeff and I bought our airline tickets last night for our trip to California and I'm soooooo excited. I'm going to meet my friend's partner and their 2 kids. (HI TRE!!!!!!) We don't have a sex schedule of what we are doing, nor are we making hotel reservations. We are just going to be out of town and relaxing! This guy is amazing.

Wedding Story
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

So over the weekend Jeff and I went to a friend of mines wedding. Great wedding. Jeff and I are taking our things into our hotel room and wouldn't you know it, one of my circle members, who is a bridesmaid in the wedding, is coming out of the room next door. Anyway, it wasn't long before the tour bus picked us up at the hotel to take us to the restaraunt where the wedding was. Jeff and I join two families from our circle and not long before the bus takes off, Kat joins the bus but sits in the front avoiding us like the plague.

The funny part was when the bus tried to go around a sharp corner to go up the driveway of this old house where the restaraunt is located. The bus got stuck, So we all had to get out of the bus and walk up the driveway. No big deal but amusing. As soon as Jeff and I get inside, I down a glass of champagne because I'm so nervous about Kat being there.

Pixie got run over by a Reindeer
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

Jeff and I had this amazing weekend that will give me so much blog fodder for the week. But I'm all wiped out from it to start going into many details but I thought I'd start with this story. Over the weekend Jeff and I went camping near or on Skyline Drive. Needless to say, its a National Park and tons of wildlife all over creation. At one point, we are standing in this field with red plants looking at deer that are getting pretty darned close to all of the people with the cameras. (won't get to upload all the photos tonight but some are up). In any case at one point I've turned around to face Jeff for some reason. Behind me I hear a pounding of hoofs and I see Jeff and someone eles eyes go wide so I freeze in place. They tell me not to move that the deer is getting really close. Suddenly it thunders by me, missing me by a few feet but scared the crap out of me. Ok so I didn't get run over by it but it made for a great blog post title.

Jeff Wins

I decided that Jeff must take precedence over looking good for the wedding. So I've cancelled my hair appointment and tomorrow I'm off to the Ren Faire.

Staying home? Gasp
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

For the first time in what seems like awhile I won't be seeing my boyfriend this evening. Pout. I won't be seeing him tomorrow either as we both have therapy. It's a good thing though because soon Simba won't remember who I am if I don't spend some time with him which I really need to do today and tomorrow. It looks like maybe Thursday night Jeff may come have dinner with my family and I which would be awesome.

I can't believe how much time I've been spending away from my home. I guess that's what happens when you are in love.

Camping
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

My boyfriend is taking me camping the weekend of labor day!!!! EEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK
Have I mentioned how happy I am?

Tonight Jeff my boyfriend is meeting Slightly Delusional Elven Friend aka Geoff which should be fun. They are both clowns/goofballls and for some really odd reason think I'm fun to be with.

Me? In Love? Whatever gives you that idea???

Best Weekend Ever!
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

I think I may pass out from happiness! Friday night my therapist cancelled on me so I got to go hang out with Jeff earlier than I thought. We hung out and watched The Gods Must be Crazy. Or we watched a good chunk of it before we got distracted by other things :-)

The next day (Saturday) was just amazing. Jeff called me around 11:30 and said I should meet him at his best friends place and to bring a bathing suit. I had to borrow my mom's as I don't have one. Meeting a s.o.'s best friend for the first time in a bathing suit is just a little awkward but his friend was really funny and nice so I got over my awkwardness pretty quickly. We hung out in the hot tub for awhile and then sunned ourselves. Eventually 2 more of their friends (women) showed up and 4 of us went out to get food. We came back to best friends place and ate before going back to the pool. We went into the regular pool this time and then switched back and forth to and from the hottub and regular pool several times and I had a blast.

Shocked I'm Shocked!
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

Ok, I'm being a little sarcastic. STIll not a bloody word from CB. Why exactly did I think I cared about him?? Whatever. Of course I'm still talking about it so obviously I care a little. I will shut up about this sooner or later, I swear. In other news I have a snuggle date with Jeff this evening. I doubt we'll be leaving his condo. :-) HA! And he didn't take me to a damn hotel. CB has no idea how long I hold grudges.

Concert
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

I am SO not in the mood for going to a Melissa Etheridge concert with Kat on Thursday. Of course if I had enough medication in my system I'd be feeling better but of course I don't. Fortunately my shrink returned today and I see her tomorrow so hopefully I can start feeling better soon.

File under: Pixie Leaves the House

My new boyfriend wants me to come up with ideas for tuesday. Shit. I'm crappy when it comes to ideas. I haven't bloody dated in 8 years. We've done the dinner thing and we've done the walking around a park thing. Anyone have any ideas? I suck at coming up with ideas. Crap.

3rd Date
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

Wow. It was supposed to be a 2 hour date but turned into a 9 hour date. :-)
We met at Dunkin Donuts and had a donut and coffee. Then we went to this botanical gardens place and walked around. We stopped by his office for his inhaler and then went back to his place. We'll we were supposed to be watching Kill Bill and unexpected things happened. And I got laid. He's good. And I'll leave it at that. :-P

My only little disappointment was to find out that he has depression as well. I just don't think that 2 people with depression is such a good idea. But the problem is, I really, really, really like him. Should I let the fact that he has depression stop me from seeing him? He seems to be taking care of himself now.

PS remember how CB said on friday that he wasn't ignoring me and would respond to my email? Yeah, well. I'm still waiting. I'm glad he hasn't but it just figures.

Midlife Crises
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

No, not me. Kat. So we had circle yesterday (Lammas for you Pagans out there). Apparantly, I have learned the art of tact and she has not. Kat was an hour late (of course) so I tried to do all of my talking about Jeff before she got there. However, it wasn't long before Kat was talking about her underage (I think) girlfriend and how a hotel room was sound proof. I cried when I first heard her voice. I got really sad but was able to fairly quickly pull myself together. We even had a few brief conversations together that were rather adult like. I got really pissed because Kat kept mentioning her girlfriend but I had enough tact to keep it to myself. Finally when a circle member started asking more questions about Jeff, I decided, Kat's not being tactful why should I so I started answering her questions. Little did I know Kat was in the bathroom and we were standing right near it. She looked a little stunned when she came out that she isn't the only one moving on with her life. HA.

In anycase it was all adult like. But I came to the conclusion on my way home that she's having a midlife crises. What is a 40 year old woman doing dating a girl who's 17 or 18? If this young girls parents would find out, Kat could be charged with either contributing to the delinquincy of a minor or even statutory rape. She must be fucking insane (literally in this case!)! So she can have her mid life crises.

I'm off to my Sunday morning date with my cute boy. (Yeah, I'll be taking my profile off of Match.com very soon)

Have I mentioned he's a good kisser?

Fortunately,
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

CB hasn't contacted me. Anyone shocked? Yeah, me neither. Phew. Good. Onto good stuff. I have an early morning date with Jeff (guy I met online at match.com). I think I can use his real name as there are probably 1,000,000 people named Jeff just on the east cost. We are meeting early because he plays in a band the afternoons. I was busy all of today with circle so I didn't have time to meet him today. :-(
I just hope we have a repeat kiss of last weeks kiss because it was so nice. I don't think I need to worry about that though.

The Kiss
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

So I had another date with The Guy. It looks like it may turn into something. After the first date I wasn't sure but I had had a good time. At first yesterday it was awkward. But once the awkwardness was over, I was able to relax and talk to him. I feel very comfortable and safe around me. He's very laid back and easy going. Just what I need. So we had dinner. We walked around Michaels craft supplies (too damned hot outside to walk around out there) and so after that we went to Starcrack Starbucks and then he was a gentleman and walked me to my car. Of course he then proceeded to kiss me. And none of this crap about shoving his tongue down my throat or anything. It wasn't a chaste kiss, believe me but we wasn't slobbering all over me and pawing at me. I am definitely likely this guy.

More Brownie Points
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

For the guy from Match. com. He called me beautiful in an email. I was slightly tempted to email back "Yeah, but I have a personality from hell so don't get too excited". But I shoved my low self esteem to the back of my mind and thanked him all the while thinking, just wait til you see my mood swings and my crying fits. You won't think I'm so beautiful then. But I'll let him live with the delusion that I'm a sane happy person for awhile.

Date Went Well!
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

I like the fact that we kept it relatively short- 2 hours. He called an hour later to tell me he had a great time and that he looked forward to seeing me again on Thursday. Yes it went well enough that I told him that I was interested in seeing him again. I found him very easy to talk to, very mellow and just a very cool person. So all in all, a very good evening. I'm looking forward to seeing him again on Thursday.

Attack of the Giant Melting Popsicle
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

I am a bad guest blogger! It's my first post all week. Sorry, Pix! Life got in the way, momentarily.

In other news, did everyone hear about Snapple Popsicle Episode? If you didn't, allow me to recap.

Apparently, Snapple™ is coming out with a line of popsicles. To promoted said popsicles, Snapple had a 17-ton REAL popsicle replica made. THEN, they took said 17-ton popsicle to Union Square in lovely Manhattan, NY, where the popsicle proceeded to melt and cause a Snapple tidal wave.

Hmmmm...large frozen liquid object weighing 35,000 pounds sitting in the...sunshine. Probably not the best idea those Snapple geniuses ever had, huh?

Although I have to say, I cannot wait for the popsicles to hit the stores.

Mama Mia
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

Well we had a great time at Mama Mia. The show was hysterical and the music was great. However, I have some complaints. Whomeever cast this show needs to be shot. The lead female performer (the daugher) wasn't very good. Her voice was way to high and nasily for the role. The men weren't all that fantastic either. One guy looked like he constantly had something stuck in his throat. Their voices were only so so. The woman who played the mother was fantastic as well as the women who played her two best friends (which reminded me of the two from Absolutely Fabulous). But despite the stupid casting it was still a lot of fun. But for the amount of money we payed for those tickets, I really think they could have cast these rolls a bit better.

The Freaks Kat's Coworkers
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

Nah, they weren't freaks, they were hysterical. You may or may not remember that on Friday, Kat and I planned on going out to dinner with Kat's Co workers. The Red Lobster was PACKED and we had to wait for something like 45 minutes for a table. One of these co workers knocked her glass of raspberry lemonade over as the waitress was lifting or placing something down. They let the poor woman think she had knocked it over. So the rest of the dinner, the waitress was hysterically paradnoid about knocking our drinks over. By the end of dinner we were almost in tears it was so funny. I wanted to tell the waitress at the end that she wasn't the one who knocked it over but I just didn't have the courage too. I hope she's recovered.

Pixie, ED and Dinner
File under: Pixie Leaves the House

So tonight Kat is dragging my ass out of the house and forcing me to go to dinner with her and two coworkers. Sigh. I have an eating disorder, I am not looking forward to thinking of how many calories I'm putting into my body with each bite of steak. We are going to Red Lobster. I'm hoping maybe they have a Salad with steak as I HATE seafood (no lesbian jokes please  ) Plus I'm anti social and HATE meeting new people. Sigh.
